Most popular methods of carpet cleaning

If you are having your homes carpets cleaned you have a number of different methods of carpet cleaning to chose from. But how do you choose a method when you know little about them? Read this article for information on the bonnet method of carpet cleaning. Bonnet carpet cleaning is one of the most popular methods of carpet cleaning. It is second only to steam cleaning. It has many benefits and a few disadvantages as well. I will start by telling you a little about the method. The first step in bonnet carpet cleaning is to thoroughly pre-vacuum the carpet. This is an important step in any carpet cleaning method but is especially important in bonnet cleaning. After the carpet has been thoroughly vacuumed the carpet cleaner will spray down a pre-spray onto the carpet, concentrating on the heavily soiled traffic areas. They will let the solution dwell and then they will extract the solution using a carpet cleaning bonnet. The bonnet will either be cotton or synthetic and might be used wet or dry. To spin the bonnet they will use an orbital floor machine similar to the floor sanders and polishers you might have seen in commercial settings. The machine provides gentle agitation and allows the bonnets to gently lift away soil. After making several passes over the carpet the carpet cleaner will use a carpet rake to groom the carpet. This will raise the pile for better drying and will erase any swirl marks left by the machine. The advantage of this method is that it leaves the carpet dry in very little time with little chance of spots wicking back to the surface. The disadvantage of this method is that it does not clean as deeply as steam cleaning. If you have heavy soiling or pet problems you are better off hiring a steam carpet cleaner.
