Clean your floor
Check put the finished floor:
Hardwood floors are available in different types of finishes. Tree most common include wax surfaces, surfaces and finished acrylic impregnated. While there are some very good cleaning techniques and tips that can be applied to all types of finished wood floor, some designs require special care. A wax or wax-based product should never be used to clean a wood floor that has a surface. If your floor has a wax finished, the whitish discoloration that occurs from hot water stains are scrubbed away with a piece of fine steel wool and mineral spirits. Thereafter, the soil re-waxed and polished. During the cleaning of acrylic impregnated wood floors, don't use oil and water-based products, as they may damage the finish. No matter what type of wood floor you have quit, you always read the manufacturer's care and maintenance instructions, and follow the recommended cleaning procedure if you want to clean right!

Vacuum regularly:
Hardwood floors should be vacuumed regularly to remove every dust and other microscopic contaminants. These fine particles can act like sandpaper and actually begin to wear down the floor finish. Vacuuming regularly removes this layer of awful dust, so that the floor finish and appearance are maintained. Be careful about the types of vacuum equipment that you use on your expensive wood floor, however. Avoid bars or bats with rotating brushes, as they can cause scratches. Instead, use a system that has a felt surface or a soft brush. A Dust mop, soft broom or microfiber sweeper can be used instead of a vacuum, if you prefer.
