How to clean windows

The easiest way to keep your windows clean is to keep on top of them every few weeks. Cleaning your windows couldn't be easier with Bolton's Domestic Blitz giving you some excellent top tops. Will we tell you how to clean windows that are cleaned regularly and will tell you how to clean windows that haven't been cleaned for months and for really tough windows that haven't been cleaned for years. Cleaning your windows that have been regularly cleaned is a very quick and enjoyable process. All you need is a very small amount of washing up liquid in a fairly large bowl. One dry e-cloth which are fantastic for cleaning things such as glass, taps, mirrors, windows, worktops, cookers, tiles, anything really that needs to be cleaned to a high shine. You will also need one dry e-cloth for buff cleaning at the end. To start your clean, simply take your e-cloth and immerse in the warm, slightly soapy water and give your cloth a good squeeze out but not too much as you want to keep the windows wet. Starting from the top of the window, start to clean in the very corners using your fingers to get right into the corners and edges. Don't take too long doing this as you don't want the window to dry. Using bigger movements to clean the larger area of the windows, making sure you're cleaning any marks or grease off that need to be cleaned. Once all the marks and smears are clean you can buff clean your window to a smear free finish using your dry e-cloth. Cleaning windows that have not been cleaned in months is a little bit tougher but works in a very similar way to the above cleaning system. Obviously you need a little bit more elbow grease! Using a little bit more good quality washing up liquid and getting your e-cloth pretty wet is important and really getting lots of warm, soapy water onto the windows for a good deep clean. Using pretty much the same method but cleaning and wiping a bit harder to get any grime, grease and dirt off. If the window still needs cleaning after the first wash, thoroughly rinse your cloth and repeat the process until the window is clean. Again, using the dry e-cloth, buff clean the window to a high shine finish. The toughest of all window cleans are the ones that haven't been cleaned for years. They could have grime, mold, mildew, insects and ground on years of dirt. There are two ways to get these kind of windows cleaned. Firstly and probably the easiest if you have access to one, is to use a powerful steam cleaner. Steamers are an excellent piece of cleaning equipment especially for windows and upvc. Whilst the steamer is heating up, begin cleaning off what dirt you can by using a good quality, large cleaning cloth that has been thoroughly immersed in plenty of soapy water. Gently clean off the surface dirt, making sure you regularly rinse your cloth and change your water. Once the steamer has heated up, apply the steam pressure to the window, this will lift off any remaining dirt and clean the upvc of any ground on dirt. Once the majority of dirt is removed, you can then clean the window in the same way as above using your wet and dry e-cloths.
